J's Christmas present

J.  loves to knit, weave, sew or whatever has to do with creating.  It seems to make him happy and keep him calm.  His sense of pride in his work is humble but rewarded and this makes me happy.  We decided to make him his very own loom of sorts for Christmas and this is what he got.

Thankfully, he says it is really easy to work.
He says he is making a belt.  The kind to hold up pants.  It is a Birthday present for his friend.
Nice work!

Isn't it great and it won't take any more work to make a rug or place mats then it does to make a belt.

C's Christmas present

For Christmas Art and I found silk screening supplies for C.  It was not easy and we had to improvise with somethings but we got a kit of some sort together knowing that he would probably have some fun with it and  of course I can't stay out of it either.
Just last week a new homeschool group has started at our end of town, which is really great because the one we went to before is way to far for us now that we've moved.  At our first meeting, last Thursay, the kids voted to call themselves "The Busy Bisons".  This is because the big bisons are in a field right near where we meet, which is practically next door to where we live.
Anyway, all that to say, C got excited to try to make everyone in the group a badge with his new silk screening kit.  So together we worked and here is what we've managed to come up with.

He is so proud of himself!

Demonstrating the process

Just off the screen.  So fun!

Partied out

Hi Everyone,
We are once again coming to the end of the busiest month of the year.  December is crazy month.  Between birthdays, Christmas and Anniversary comes Art's company party, Church Party, Personal invites to friends homes to celebrate the season with them and parties at home for people we feel we should maintain a close relationship with for the sake of sharing Jesus with them.
We are not done yet.  We still have Christmas, Anniversary, and a friends Birthday party to attend to.  In the between of all of this I have needed to come up with a special gift for our elderly neighbours who have been so kind to us.  I decided to make them a small quilt.  I noticed that they love birds,  there house is decorated in blue colours with pink curtains and the like.  So  I got to work and hours later I came up with a nice picture quilted for them.
Here it is.

Here is a random picture of Ziggy who turned eight years old this week.  He is holding our beautiful cat who is getting so big but still things he is a baby.

And since we are onto Random pictures, here is one of the littlest angels at our church Christmas pagent this year, which I made all the costumes for, save two,
yet again this year.
Well, off to bed with me.  I'm so tired, I can't think of anything at all to post.
Merry Christmas to you all!

Cool-Multiplexi-RamaRama-Plastic Toy Maker

Me: "C, Please clean your room."
C: "Ok"

Few minutes later:
Me:  "Is your room clean?"
C: "Yup!  You should see my new invention!"
Me: "Ok."
I walk in his room and sure enough everything is picked up but not necessarily put away.  All the bits and pieces that he was either too lazy to put away or wasn't quite sure where to put them landed in a little pile.  It was made up of pencil sharpener, camera, pencils, legos, and other miscilanious items.  A few of them were strategically placed to resemble some momentary contemplation.  Then, came his announcement:  "It is my invention called Cool-Multiplexi-RamaRama-Plastic Toy Maker!"

Ah, yeah!  I'm not so easily tricked.  This invention is called pure laziness to put things away, not "Cool-Multiplexi-RamaRama-Plastic Toy Maker" like he told me and wanted me to believe that he put major amounts of contemplation and work into.
I'll have to give him an A+ for the creative manipulation part though. LOL
No go though!  Clean your room Mojo!
